Schedule Details

Day 1 : Arrival

Pick up from the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Yerevan city tour. Visit History Museum and

Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

Day 2 : Garni, Geghard, The Arch of Charents, Symphony of Stones

We will start our tour with a visit to Garni, the only standing pagan temple in Armenia, and the

Symphony of Stones. In Garni, we will take part in Amrneian bread “lavash” baking master class

and have lunch. We'll visit Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site carved out of the

rock. On our way back to Yerevan, we'll make a memorable stop at The Arch of Charents, offering

breathtaking views of Mount Ararat. On our way back to Yerevan, we will visit The Arch of

Charents and have the opportunity to enjoy the view of Ararat.

Day 3 : Sevan,Sevanavank, Old Dilijan Complex, Haghartsin

Today, we will drive along Lake Sevan, exploring Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula. We'll

Stop for Lunch in Sevan. Later, we will journey to Dilijan, our last destination for today's tour, often

referred to as the "Second Switzerland" for its stunning natural beauty. In Dilijan, we will visit

Goshavank and Haghartsin Monasteries.

Day 4 : Etchmiadzin-Zvartnots

Today, we will depart for Etchmiadzin, the spiritual and administrative headquarter of the

Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin (302-303 AD), the seat of

the Catholicos. Visit St. Gayane and St. Hripsime Churches (7th c.). We will stop for lunch in

Machanents House, Etchmiadzin. Return to Yerevan and stop over for Zvartnots temple, 7th

century architectural masterpiece, listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 5 : Khor Virap-Noravank-Areni Cave and Wine tasting

Today, we will visit Khor Virap Monastery, which holds significant historical importance for

Armenia due to the adoption of Christianity. We will have the opportunity to descend into the

underground dungeon, located inside St. Gregory the Illuminator Chapel. The best view of the holy

mountain Ararat opens from the territory of the monastery. Then, we will head to Noravank

Monastery, known for its beautiful medieval Armenian architecture and religious importance.

After that, we will visit Areni Cave and Areni Winery for a wine-tasting experience. In Areni Cave,

an ancient wine press was discovered, the age of which was estimated at 6000 years. After Lunch

in Areni we will return to Yerevan.

Day 6 : Gyumri city tour

Gyumri is the second largest city in Armenia, after the capital. There are various interesting sights

in the city and its surroundings. Here you can visit the art gallery, local history museum or

historical and cultural reserve. There are five different churches in Gyumri and in its surroundings,

the ancient Marmarashen monastery and the Orthodox chapel. One of the symbolic and

recognizable sights of the city is a monument to the legendary commander Vardan Mamikonyan,

who was considered the defender of Armenia and the Christian faith and was ranked among the

saints. Another iconic historical monument of Gyumri is the Alexandropol Fortress. The fortress

was a military defensive object and played the role of protecting Russian territories from Persian

or Turkish invasions. Gyumri is considered the “capital of art” in Armenia, as well as an important

cultural center. The city is also usually called the “capital of humor”, as many prominent Armenian

artists and comedians come from here.

Day 7 : Departure Day
